Launch Week Wrap-Up and Poll

Our first week is over, and I’m pleased with the response we’ve had to this experiment. We’ve gotten 70 subscribers and over 1500 page views. That’s quite respectable for a blog with zero budget and little in the way of promotion. I’m confident that Foil & Phaser will continue to grow over the coming weeks.

We are still looking for new writers, both as regular contributors and guest writers. The blog will only get better if more people can contribute and share their unique perspectives. If you’re looking for an outlet to display your talent, or you want to try blogging but are unsure now to get started, consider joining the Foil & Phaser team. You will get the advantage of a built-in audience and community support. Or if you already have a blog, send us a link and we will be happy to reblog or link to you.

I would like to extend my thanks to Tom, Veronica, and all the people at Sword & Laser for their support. I would also think to thank our authors for their hard work and their courage in taking a leap of faith with the blog. And finally, thank you to everyone who stopped by to check us out. This blog would not exist without the community to sustain it. I hope you will all stay with us and make Foil & Phaser a success for years to come.
